10 Things To Do This Summer

As we are now in the middle of summer (although sometimes the weather may not show it) and you may have just finished school for summer, be on holiday from work or have been on holiday from University for a while and are beginning to get bored. This post will give you 10 ideas of things to do this summer.

1. Go to the beach

One of the best things to do during the summer is go to the beach. There are so many things that you can do meaning that you can spend the whole day there. Swim in the sea, have a BBQ, toast marshmallows or sunbathe, these are some of the best things to do with friends. The beach is FREE meaning there are no excuses for being bored on a sunny day.

2. Meet up with friends you may have not seen in a while

Meet up with not text them to see what they have been up to. I am as guilty as anyone else of doing this. It is so easy to text someone and see what they are up to and how they are but now that you have some free time, set aside some of it to meet up with friends that are home from university or are off work the same time as you. Catching up for a coffee or drink outside in the sun can turn into one of the best days. Arranging a day out with a group of friends can give you something to look forward to.

3. Have a girls day

What better way to spend a whole day than with your closest friends. Shopping, makeover, spa day, manicure or out for drinks. Plan a full day and make the most of it.

4. Do something that you have always wanted to

Now that you have more spare time you have time to do something that you have always wanted to. Whether that is visiting a new place you have longed to explore, start a new hobby, learn to do something or even start a blog. GO FOR IT!! It may turn into something that you really love. I started my blog at the start of my summer holidays and i am loving writing it.

5. Spend time with family

If you are not going on a family holiday this year then you can still make time to have days out with your family. Although you may live with them you may spend all day at work, school or uni whilst they are at work meaning you only see them in the mornings and evenings. Therefore this is the perfect opportunity to spend time with them.

6. Make cocktails and mocktails and sit in the garden

If the sun is out what better way to enjoy it than with cocktails. There are so many cocktails to suit everyone's taste and simply take the alcohol out to create mocktails for those driving or who don't drink. That way they are still involved in the fun and they look exactly the same and taste just as delicious. Grab a group of friends and a cocktail shaker to make your own cocktails.

7. Go to a festival

Not all festivals involve camping outside, there are so many festivals that run throughout the summer whether that is a food festival, a comedy festival or a music festival. Some festivals fun for a few weeks throughout summer giving you plenty of time to visit them. Some festivals are even free entry giving you a free day out.

8. Book a holiday for next year

If you have been particularly bored or jealous of other people going on holiday and don't want to spend the whole summer at home next year then book a holiday for next year. Whether that is a weekend city break or a holiday in the sun it will be something to look forward to for next year.

9. Go to an outdoor concert

If a festival is not your thing then there are lots of outdoor concerts that you can attend. Listening to an artist outside whilst the sun goes down is a brilliant way to spend a summer night.

10. HAVE FUN!!

Whatever you choose to do this summer make sure you have fun. Some of the best days out can be completely free or last minute. Research events that are going on in your area and attend them to make the most of your summer.

Whilst enjoying your summer holidays take lots of pictures of the things that you do. Therefore you will have the memories in picture form so you can remember what you did in summer 2015.
